Grief over Time

I can't go to you this time
my love is not enough
I can't hold you together
your hands are no longer there
I can't keep you aloft
when the waters call to us both
I can't be where you are
my mind is so far gone
I want to fall into the darkness
I want to come to your aid
But my words are fruitless
And my actions cause pain
Everything I consider
Ends in oblivion
Ends in vain
My tongue, my eyes, my hands
offend thee
No longer do I have
the courage
to cut them away for you
I have nothing but grief in me
